Customer case studies are one of our biggest content pillars at Restoke, because operators trust other operators way more than they trust a software company. Royal Stacks is a burger chain in Melbourne and one of our enterprise customers in Australia, so this one needed to be bigger than our usual case study. We opted for a full interview with their executive chef and plenty of b-roll, but it still needed to feel like a real, busy kitchen rather than a polished ad. The catch was that our marketing team couldn’t be there. Handing it to a local crew in Melbourne meant the brief had to do all the directing for me, so I laid out the story, the shot list, and the tone in as much detail as I could. When the footage came back, I edited it into a full case study plus shorter cuts for sales materials and paid and organic ads. That footage has kept feeding new content since, without a single reshoot.
